Ardmore Shipping, a provider of chemical and product tankers, has teamed up with DeepSea Technologies to integrate Pythia, the company’s voyage optimization technology, throughout the Ardmore fleet
In order to enable the deployment of an AI approach in the context of tramp trade, DeepSea and Ardmore collaborated to improve a set of algorithms powered by AI-generated vessel behavior models using Ardmore’s historical data over the course of a year-long full-scale trial of the technology on Ardmore vessels.
This technology is being used as part of Ardmore’s Energy Transition Plan (ETP), which combines the most promising systems to maximize fleet performance while experimenting with and implementing a variety of accessible maritime technologies in an effort to boost operating efficiency.
