Üntel Kablo, which received the approval of the German navy’s VG95218 certificate for its products, has recently delivered 500km long cables as part of the PN MİLGEM project, a joint vessel project of Turkey and Pakistan. The low-smoke halogen-free cables emit a less optically dense smoke during fires. They are used as power, telecommunication and signal cables at naval vessels. They are chemical and marine-water resistant and are a good cable solution for radar systems, including power and signal cables. Üntel’s cable types 60-61-62-63-64-65 and 66 were certified by the German navy last year.
The Pakistan MİLGEM Project (PN MILGEM is the biggest export ever achieved by the Turkish defence industry in a single batch and includes the construction of four corvettes.
