Tender for Çandarlı Port superstructure to be held in September

MDN İstanbul

The render for the superstructure of 910-million-euro Çandarlı Port, which is planned to be one of the 10 biggest container ports of the world, will be repeated late September.
The construction progress has slowed down at the port since no offers were received in the tender held for the superstructure works, including lighting and loading cranes. The tender will be held again at the end of September.
Çandarlı Port, which will have a capacity of 12 million TEU, is expected to greatly increase Turkey’s handling capacity when completed. The port, which also aims to make Turkey one of the most important bases in the east-west line, will also provide jobs to around 15,000 people.
