Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay announced the successful launch of its NB 107 pro- ject at its Tuzla facility on March 4. This marks the shipyard’s first major opera-tion of 2023.

The exterior design of the  unique NB 107 is the work of Azerbaijan-based studio Abbasli Design, while Mengi Yay is responsible for the interior design. Engineering specifications were carried out by Ginton Naval Architects.

Having manufactured wooden and steel-aluminum yachts for 59 years, Mengi Yay has proven itself as one of Türkiye’s top brands in the field. The shipyard has successfully developed the heritage passed down from founder Ramazan Mengi and made it competitive with international brands. In line with Mengi Yay’s philosophy, perfor- mance comes from smart engineering rather than brute power.

Equipped with two Cummins QSM11 engines, the yacht has a range of 610 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 14 knots. Its robustness and integrity are ensured according to CE Category A class standards. NB 107, with a maximum speed of 18 knots, can accommo- date eight guests in four cabins.

The result of Mengi Yay’s three gen- erations of boat-building knowledge and experience, NB 107 meets Türkiye’s highest quality standards. Built using Wood Epoxy Lamination, the yacht features Iroko and Akaju trees on the boat deck, ensuring privacy, peace, and quiet. Unique features, such as a 70% efficiency fin in the stern area and a 6-decibel noise reduction, were developed through R&D and engineering studies.

Mengi Yay specializes in custom yacht production, developing unique user  experience-oriented  engineering solutions for each vessel. Electric Full Quiet Mode, which  allows  users to actively use all electrical devices for eight hours in complete silence, is a keyfeature of the NB 107, preserving the peaceful atmosphere at sea.

Optimizing the small living space, NB 107 offers smart planning and the high- est level of comfort. Currently undergo- ing sea trials and finishing activities at Pendik Marina, the yacht will be ready for delivery by the end of March and available for sale at a price of EUR 3.25 million.
