Havila Kystruten proudly received M/S Havila Polaris and M/S Havila Pollux, marking a significant achievement given the numerous obstacles faced during their construction
Back in 2018, Havila Kystruten secured contracts to operate four new passenger vessels along Norway’s historic postal route, showcasing the scenic fjords. The first two ships, Havila Capella and Havila Castor, were built by Tersan Shipyard. However, due to complications with the third and fourth vessels from a different European shipyard, Havila Kystruten opted to partner with Tersan Shipyard again.
The ships, designed to embody a modern, eco-friendly ambiance with a touch of Norwegian flair, encountered anticipated technical challenges due to their unique prototype design. Both companies collaborated effectively, navigating these challenges with professionalism.
