The themes of the contest are “Productivity and Optimization,” “Safety, Human, Security,” “Big Data, Block Chain, IoT,” “Environment, Green Port,” “Automation,” “Port Infrastructure,” “Port-City Integration” and “Artificial Intelligence.” Originality and innovativeness of the project, the project’s capacity to meet current needs of the port industry, economic, technical, and technological feasibility, risk factors, and availability of alternative solutions are crucial points to be assessed. In addition, having a well-prepared file, supporting the project with strong visuals and graphics, fluent expression of the ideas are other criteria for evaluation.
Garip and Zeycan Yıldırım Foundation accepts submissions without a fee. Participants may visit Garip and Zeycan Yıldırım Foundation’s (www.gzyv.org.tr) or Yılport Holding’s websites (www.yilport.com) to register and submit their projects until April 26. Specifics of the contest are also listed on the websites. The winners will be announced on the websites on May 2 after jury review.
The prize for the first project is set at 7,500 euros. The second project will be awarded 5,000 euros and the third with 2,500 euros. Honorable mention will be 1,000 euros.
Garip & Zeycan Yıldırım Foundation will also award the top three winners with education scholarships in Turkey until the end of their studies. The owner of the first project will participate in an international event sponsored by Yılport Holding.
