Two amazing boat shows for yacht enthusiasts this month: Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Yacht Show

MDN İstanbul

This month will host two exciting events, both of which are eagerly expected by the enthusiastic yacht lovers every year. The Cannes Yachting Festival (Sept. 11-16)
The 41st edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival will be held on Sept. 11-16 at Vieux Port et Port Pierre Canto, Cannes. The show, with its elegance, clean lines, calm sea, horizon and lovely lifestyle that inspire navigation, will host 528 exhibitors, 60 percent of which are from abroad, 45 percent are boat builders/importers and 55 percent participating from other activity sectors.
Since 1977, the Cannes Yachting Festival takes place every September in elegant, luxurious surroundings in the sparkling bay of Cannes. As the first show of the boating season, the Cannes Yachting Festival is Europe’s leading in-water boating event. The major players in pleasure yachting go to Cannes to launch the show season by showcasing their new worldwide models.
Last year, 600 boats, from 2,1 to 65 meters in total, including 214 new boats and yachts were presented at the festival, with 108 on view for the first time in the world. Others included 45 second-hand boats between 22 to 65 meters, with 148 over 20 meters, 103 sailing boats (17 percent), 43 multihulls, including 11 motor yachts, all of which were visited by approximately 50 thousand visitors at two ports-from the Vieux Port to Port Pierre Canto, from one end to the other of the famous Croisette, 10 km of boats and three km of floating pontoons installed.

The Monaco Yacht Show (Sept. 26-29)
For the last 28 years, the Principality of Monaco has hosted one of the world’s most impressive international superyacht meeting in its emblematic Port Hercules. And this year on Sept. 26-29, the Monaco Yacht Show will again welcome superyacht owners, future purchasers and charter clients who will be able to indulge themselves in the 120 superyachts on display.
Among the 2018 collection of luxury yachts, 40 are brand-new designs that will be unveiled by leading shipyards to showcase their work, as is the main case every year. While the final decision to exhibit a yacht always remains with the owners, their agents and representatives work closely with the organizers of the show to allow it to offer the finest showcase of superyachts available.
A tailor-made program of visits to specific yachts will be available for private superyacht clients invited by MYS exhibitors and organizers. The Sapphire Experience will offer exclusive services enabling new guests to make the most of the show as they take their first steps in the confidential world of luxury yachting. In particular, the program includes participation to the 3rd edition of the Monaco Yacht Summit and an invitation to the Opening Ceremony of the 28th Monaco Yacht Show.
The MYS exhibition will extend once again over almost the whole of Port Hercules and will also benefit from the restructuring by the Principality of Monaco of the Quai des États-Unis, giving priority to the presence of naval architects, shipyards and brokers on the quays right next to their yachts on display in the water. Visitors will also find a new line of superyachts at right-angles to the Quai des États-Unis, replacing the former floating pontoon connected to the Central T.
Guests to the show will also discover a brand-new space dedicated to art in the MYS. Adjacent to the Starboard exhibition lounge and the Car Deck on the Quai Antoine 1er, the Art Pavilion will present a collection of works of art and sculptures. Collectors and art fans can meet ten gallery owners and their artists who will be there to present their works.
Moreover, the 3rd edition of the Monaco Yacht Summit will take place on Sept. 25, during the day at the Méridien Beach Plaza Hotel. The event will be attended by a delegation of pre-qualified participants interested in embarking on a yachting experience.
